We are very proud to offer such a wide variety of instrument choices at Hiltingbury Junior School, as we recognise the many benefits that a musical education brings.

Our music lessons cater to students of all skill levels, whether they’re beginners or have previous musical experience. Our dedicated and passionate music teachers are committed to helping each child reach their full potential and discover the joy of music!

For pupils in Years 3 to 6 we offer Recorder, Woodwind, Guitar, Bowed Strings and Piano lessons.  Lessons take place during the school day and your timetable will be available prior to your lesson.

If your child wishes to take part in music lessons, you will need to provide an instrument (children learning the piano or keyboard will use an instrument for lessons in school; you will still need an instrument at home to practise).  These can be purchased or rented from music shops.  We also participate in the Assisted Purchase Scheme. If you are joining us in year 3 September 2025, you will receive information on music lessons at the time of your school enrolment.
