Year 3 Weekly Highlights 14.7.23
What a wet week it's been!
In maths, we have finished our work on statistics. It has been tricky drawing our own bar charts. We have also looked at two way tables - 3BC swapped roles and the children got to practise their skills by being the teacher.
In English, we have finished our weather poems and some of us have written them up as published pieces.
We have had our final dance lesson from Interg8 and had a last practise at rounders - there is an exciting activity next week for the whole school involving rounders so make sure you check in next week to find out what it is!
In science, we have been looking at light and shadows and thought about what material would-be best to make curtains out of in order to block the light. We found out that fabric or layers of paper would be best.
We cannot believe it is our last week next week. Thank you for those of you who were able to join us on Monday for open evening.
The children will be brining their old books home next week so just another reminder to bring in (ideally) 2 bags for them to carry their books home in. Their current books will be going up to their Y4 classes ready for September.
And finally... on Friday, we will be finishing at 1:15 - if you cannot arrange to collect your child at this time, please contact the school office with their home time arrangements.
Have a wonderful weekend
