As a team and school, we are very proud of Year 3 for a great first transition day into Year 4. We all explored our theme of ‘stepping into something new’ through learning about each other as well as creating a piece of artwork.

This week in Maths, we have explored the properties of both 2D and 3D shapes using our knowledge of vertices, edges and faces. Next week, we move onto our final unit on statistics.

In reading, we have read more about the adventures of Tomas and Flicker in The Boy Who Grew Dragons. We have practised our fact retrieving skills and our fluency skills by reading a non-fiction page about dragon fruits.

In English, Year 3 were very excited as we have watched the next part when Edmund meets the White Witch. We have practised writing different sentences using this scene as well as practising the skill of writing speech.
