We are slowly approaching the end of term and hasn't the year gone quickly!

In English, we have been focussing on characterisation through speech in our Explorer unit. The children wrote some lovely pieces of work carrying on the chapter the maiden voyage.

In Maths, we began our final geometry unit, which focusses on coordinates, translation and reflection. The children recapped their knowledge of co-ordinates before using those skills to translate shapes within a grid.

We completed our History unit this week by debating whether the monarchy is relevant today. This current topic has focussed on the relationship of the monarch to parliament. Many excellent discussions have occurred throughout the unit and I hope the children have been impressing you with their knowledge of some of the monarchs.

In Science, we looked how to classify animals by their types of life cycles. From live births to metamorphosis the children have sorted animals using carol diagrams.

We hope you have a good weekend. Remember to bring a sturdy bag on Tuesday, as we will be giving out all their books they have completed this year.
