Year 4 Weekly Highlights 6.6.25

We hope everyone has had a restful half term because we have certainly hit the ground running in Year 4! Our new project has started - How can we succeed against the odds? So far, we have begun learning about Ernest Shackleton's goal to cross Antarctica from sea to sea, enhanced by geography and science lessons in which we have learnt more about this icy biome and its wildlife.

This week, children have begun completing the Multiplication Tables Check. Well done to everyone who has done it so far. The rest of the children will complete it next week. Of course, we will not stop practising times tables after this because they are such an important foundation for maths further up the school.

In maths, our geometry unit is drawing to a close, having learnt this week about coordinates and translation. Our next unit is often a favourite for many children - decimals!
