Year 3 Weekly Highlights 6.6.25
WOW! What an amazing start to our new and final project!
On Monday, we launched our final project, how powerful is our imagination? To support our question, we have three key concepts, imagination, creativity and value.
Mr Gardiner, our site manager, came across a very interesting discovery on Monday. He invited Year 3 to investigate his findings. Year 3 were surprised to find a nest of dragon fruits! We're excited to see where this takes us next!
As part of our project hook on Monday, Year 3 took on the role of Walt Disney Imagineers. Their challenge was to see where their imagination and creativity would take them with their attractions and fantasyland's. We all thoroughly enjoyed hearing their pitches for their fantasy lands and roller coasters and look forward to building on these skills throughout our project!
We have also begun our reading unit on The Boy Who Grew Dragons by practising our prediction and inference skills. We have been lucky enough to have been sent a letter by the author, Andy Shepherd inviting us to the Superhero Squad!
In maths, we have continued our learning on time. Please continue to practise telling the time at home to support this!
In Science, we began our learning by investigating key scientists who have brought about creativity and innovation in different disciplines.
We hope all of Year 3 have a great weekend,
Year 3 Team
