This week our minds have turned to transition with the excitement of finding out new classes on Tuesday and spending a day as Year 5. All the children returned to Year 4 land at the end of the day with a smile on their face and we were very proud to hear from their Year 5 teachers about what a great first impression they had made.

Also this week, the children completed their writing about the Endurance's venture into Antarctica. Those of you who came to the parents' writing event last week will recall the children retelling events from Endurance's viewpoint. Well, this week we have been writing from the ice's viewpoint and describing its glee as it crushes the boat (or pathetic piece of wood as some children described it!). The children relished the opportunity to write from this malevolent point of view and there were some fantastic outcomes!
