Year 6 Weekly Highlights 26.9.25

This week in Year 6 has been a dynamic and engaging one, filled with creativity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning. In English, the children have been crafting first-person narratives from the unique perspective of a river, developing their ability to write imaginatively while also considering the journey and character of natural features. In Maths, we've continued to refine our addition and subtraction methods, building accuracy and confidence through increasingly complex problems. Our Geography lessons took an explosive turn as we explored the impacts of volcanoes, learning how they shape both the landscape and the lives of people living nearby. To support our understanding of physical processes, we even used Oreo cookies to model geological concepts in a fun and memorable way!
