Year 6 Weekly Highlights 28.11.25
What an exciting week it has been in Year 6! Fresh from our residential, we continued our learning about World War II, focusing especially on the Battle of Britain. We explored why this event was such an important turning point in the war and discussed how the bravery, resilience, and determination shown during this time helped to change the course of history.
In art, we carried on exploring the concept of peace. Inspired by Picasso, we experimented with different media to recreate elements of his work.
In maths, we began our new unit on measures. We’ve been working on converting between different units—such as millimetres, centimetres, metres, and kilometres—and everyone has been practising using these conversions in real-life contexts.
In English, we focused on punctuation, particularly how to use colons and semicolons to link two related clauses. We are looking forward to applying this in our formal letter next week.
Below, are some more photos from our residential last week.
