Year 3 Weekly Highlights 17.11.23

Our week began with a reflective start through our school remembrance service and our sea of homemade poppies. A big thank you to all of Year 3 and your families for so many beautiful poppy creations and remembrance photos.

Following our History trip last week, we have continued our role as Historians, using non-fiction books, chromebooks, tablets and QR codes to research some of the key changes and developments between the Stone age, Bronze age and Iron age.

In our new reading unit, we have been developing our skills of skimming and scanning sections of text as well as summarising key points from a paragraph.

As we come to the end of our addition and subtraction unit in Maths, we have been using concrete, pictorial and abstract representations to help us solve problems and explain our reasoning.

In Science, we used our enquiring and working together learning values to explore the properties of sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks.

Please remember your library books on Monday!

We wish everyone a lovely weekend,

Year 3 Team
