Year 3 Weekly Highlights 15.12.23
What an incredibly busy final week in Year 3 we have had!
We have brought our reading unit to a close on 'The Night Before Christmas' where we have practised our reading fluency skills and practised our inference skills. Using this text, we have also applied our instructions learning from English to write a step by step guide on how to decorate a Christmas tree.
In maths, we have continued to expand our knowledge on multiplication and division. We have focused our learning on the 8 times tables and have started to look at patterns.
The HSPTA very kindly organised the Santa Dash which was lots of fun. The children enjoyed running around the track that had been set out and collecting as many tokens as they could whilst being covered in the foam snow. Lots of giggles, dancing and singing took place to get us all in the festive spirit.
Noel and Noelle, our Year 3 Christmas elves, have continued to cause mischief this week - see some photos for what they have got up to!
Thank you for your continued support this term. We hope you all have a restful break with your families and friends and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
