Year 4 Weekly Highlights 7.6.24
We've had yet another busy week in Year 4.
In science, we have been looking at the different methods of seed dispersal used by plants. Next time you are out for a walk, have a look at the seeds and ask your child how you think they are dispersed: wind, animal, explosion or water?
The children have enjoyed continuing our geometry unit in maths by reading and plotting coordinates. Each day, we have also been practising for the multiplication tables check. The children have impressed us with their positive attitude toward their times tables and we've seen some great improvements in soundcheck scores! Please do encourage your child to practice on TTRS over the weekend so they are feeling as prepared and confident as possible ready for the checks next week.
We've briefly returned to Kensuke's Kingdom in English so that the children could practise and consolidate compound/complex sentences and fronted adverbials within a familiar context. They enjoyed finding out what happened after Michael fell into the sea!
Finally, a big well done to all of the children for giving their all and supporting each other so brilliantly during sports day.
Have a fabulous weekend,
The Year 4 Team
