Year 6 Weekly Highlights 17.11.23

We began the week with a visit from Mr and Mrs Kingsnorth where we relived what it was like to live as a child in World War II. The children were totally enthralled and asked fabulous questions that delved deeper into life as an evacuee.

In English this week, we studied the poem 'Dem tell me' by John Agard. We replicated his style where we took a stance against racism. This will stand us in good stead for our English next week. Our passion was high but we were horrified at what was acceptable only a little while ago.

In maths we are continuing our journey on division and the importance of interpreting our answers - we wouldn't want to leave anyone behind on a school trip!

Exicting times are a foot in reading as we embark on our new reading journey the Giant's necklace - who the giant?
